| Powderhouse Hill

| Over the weekend I heard about this small area
in Maine. Since I was on my way back to Massachusetts from North Conway New
Hampshire I decided to check it out. It was a neat little place, a great
mom and pop type area. Like many other small areas, it often serves as the
community babysitter when it is open. There were a handful of kids there on
skis and snowboards and another handful sliding. The hill had an 800 foot
rope and an approximate vertical of 150 feet. While I was there I learned
that the hill has a race scheduled for March 15th.
I spoke to several people at the area and explored the area taking many pictures. Everyone there was friendly and seemed eager to talk about their little area. Because of a recent injury to my wrist I was only able to ride up the rope tow once. It was a neat little area and it seemed like the kids who were there were having a great time.
