ski shelter has a beautiful setting near the floor of Tuckerman Ravine and
under rugged crags at Boot Spur. It serves countless thousands of
skiers who throng this Winter Playground in Pinkham Notch, New Hampshire.
Two popular ski trails starting near Appalachian Mt. Club Headquarters on
Route 16 lead by this shelter. |

powder snows blown by winter winds from the exposed northern heights of
rugged Mt. Washington are built up in this ravine to depths over 50 feet.
