At North Idaho's new Schweitzer Basin Ski Resort. All skiing begins and ends at this beautiful lodge where friendly western hospitality is the keynote. There are 1200 ski-able acres in this hugh natural bowl, opened in 1963-64. The junior racing course can be viewed by night-light in the background.

Qualified observers feel Schweitzer can adequately accommodate 8,000 skiers at one time when lift facilitise saturate the slopes.
