    Winter Splendor on Mount Baker, Washington.  Kulshin Ridge and Mt.Baker, Washington.  10,750 ft. high Mt. Baker lies in the heart of the Cascade mountains, 20 miles south of the Canadian border.  It is the Northernmost of the Cascades dormant volcanic cones.  Eternally snow-clad, it is visible over teh entire Puget Sound area.  A hard-surfaced highway leads to the Mt. Baker recreation area at Mt. Baker Lodge.  The area is open year round.

White Pass Ski Area, on White Pass Summit. 100 feet from all-weather, cross-state highway No. 5, best snow west of Yakima Wash.  offers the very best snow cover on the most varied terrain.  Skiing is from November to May.  Summer chair lift rides from July to October.   Mount Rainer from White Pass.  This view, taken from the top of White Pass ski lift, shows the mountain at its best.  This is a favorite recreational area from both eastsiders and westsiders   Skiing at White Pass with modern lodge and chair lift facilities offers pleasure to the popular Washington State winter sport.  White Pass summit is near the southeast corner of Mt.
