Cannon Mountain- Time Out!

 On the south-Eastern shoulder of Cannon Mountain the winter snows accumulate over the stunted fir growth and form large show fields for spring skiing.
  "Time Trial" Races CANNON MOUNTAIN Franconia Notch, N.H.. Ski races are held during the months of March and April each year on the Famous Cannon Mountain Trail over a race course which is nearly two miles long.  Gold, silver and bronze cannons are awarded on a time basis.  These skiers are gathered near the 4200' summit of Cannon Mt. to participate in one of these thrilling events.

  The 27-passenger tram car makes the mile long trip from Valley to Mountain Station in less than seven minutes.  Vertical ascent is 2022 feet.

The lower T bar area provides 35 acres of broad ski trails. Those that can be seen on the right include Ravine, Turnpike and Redball. On the left are Lower Cannon, Cutback, Bentons, Zoomer and Paulie's Folly. The middle and upper T Bar lines to the summit of Cannon Mt can also be observed.
