Miscellaneous
In my collection of ski related things I have a few things which I refer to as miscellaneous items. This page is dedicated to those items.
| When I was at the Hannes Schneider Meister Cup Race Banquet they had a silent auction. I won the document that is on the right. Carroll Reed's daughter had donated this original National Ski Hall of Fame document for the auction. I immediately donated it to the New England Ski Museum as I felt that it where it rightfully belonged. (Click on the object to make it bigger) Letter of Acknowledgement for gift to NESM |

This plaque is hanging on the bulletin board in my classroom. I have half of a bulletin board devoted to ski things. There are 3 collages made from ski stickers, my National Ski Patrol Pin, my instructor's pin from Pine Ridge, articles I have written and several other small ski related things. |

This package of decals were made in the 60's. You don't find them like this any more. My package is still in it's original packaging and as you can see is in excellent condition. |

This old book of ski cartoons sold for $2.00 when it was brand new. It was published in 1945 . It's interesting to look at because you can really see how much things have changed in the last 58 years. Even through the changes, one thing has remained constant, people's love for the sport. |
Need I say more for this one! |

This is a newer Ski Vermont postcard I picked up over the summer. While it is not old and really doesn't fit in my collection, I loved it when I saw it and had to get it. Wouldn't you love to be in that powder right now? |

I got this Black Mountain pin the day before the Blizzard of '78 started. My sister and I had gone up for the day to ski. We had plans to spend the night in Dover, NH with our brother and his wife. We got stuck there for almost the whole week. |
|
When I was about 9 or so, maybe younger, I won this pin at Pine Ridge Ski Area in Barre, MA. I finished second in a slalom race, therefore the cross is silver. ( 1970 or so) |
|
I won this cool St. Anton Pin on eBay. |
|
My National Ski Patrol Pin |
| This Cranmore pin is only about 1/2 inch in diameter, but I think it is a treasure. |
|
My Ski Angel Pin. For those of you who know me, maybe I should wear this when I walk instead. I got hurt twice this winter, my knee and my wrist, in falls while walking. (There was ice.) |

A student gave me this pin in the late 80's. She knew I liked to ski so she got it for me. |
|
This Sunday River Pin is from my trip there in the early 90's. |
| I would ski every day of the winter if I could, but unfortunately I have to work. I have to admit that there have been times I have been tempted to follow what this euro says and call into work so I could go skiing. Knowing my luck though, I'd break my leg or something, so I haven't done it. |

Here is a gem I picked up the other day off of eBay. |
| I only wish that this money were real, I got 88 of these! |

This is a neat Ad flyer from a local Supermarket. This picture is also used on a poster at the store, it is about 4 ft by 6 ft and in the front window. I have asked them if I could have it when the campaign is over so I can hang it in my classroom next year. |
