1969 National Survey Ski Atlas

Contains tons of information on ski areas in New England, New York, Pennsylvania and Quebec.  Many trail maps and ads.  All of the included trail maps and selected ads are on this site thanks to a contribution by Tom White

American Express Guide to Killington 1993-1994   National Ski Patrol Annual Report 1939-1940 (booklet)

1967-68 Colorado Skiing booklet

Interesting information, including descriptions of the trails there were and some great pictures.

This is an original copy of the first annual report ever written about the National Ski Patrol.  It has some information on the founding of the NSP and some of the requirements to become a member at the time.  I got this copy from a man who claims to have been there when the NSP was founded.   Contains tons of information on ski areas in Colorado.  There are many trail maps, information on lodging, bus and transportation information and more.

New Hampshire Troubadour February 1939

How to Ski - Sears booklet

Aerial Tramways, Lifts and Tows booklet
This particular issue of a book put out by the New Hampshire State Planning and Development Commission on a monthly basis deals with skiing in the state.  There are several interesting articles and some great pictures from the early years of skiing in New Hampshire.   Neat to read and see some of the old techniques.

This book is packed with information on Aerial Tramways, Ski Lifts and Tows.  There are pictures, descriptions, diagrams, and definitions of everything from simple lifts to more complex lifts.  This book also shows different types of hangers (grips) used and wire rope construction elements.

Ski New York Booklet  1952   Ishpeming-Negaunee Sports Federation Jump Meet Program 1957   Slippery Lines from Vermont Ski Slopes!
This book contains pictures, maps and information about ski areas in New York State in 1952.  The book is broken into 3 sections. Northern, Southern, and Central and Western.  I have posted the book in three sections as well.  It is an interesting book and there are some great pictures in it.   This booklet is the program for a ski tournament held in Ishpeming , Michigan in 1957.  Ishpeming is where the National Ski Association began and where it's headquarters and Museum are.  The organization's name has now changed, however.  It is know as the American Ski and Snowboard Association.   This Book contains poems written and published in 1966 about skiing in Vermont.  It appears as if all Vermont Ski Areas of the time are represented by at least one poem.  Some have more than one.  This is a limited edition book that I was fortunate to have contributed to the site. Thanks Dean and Laurie Witham.
