Locke Lake Colony 3/14/04 |

Locke Lake Colony was located on Route 28 in Barnstead, New Hampshire. It is easy to find. Follow Route 28 South from the Alton circle and you will come right to it. It is no longer an operating ski area, but the former lodge is now the Evergreen Clam Bar. There is evidence of the ski area that once existed and the hill is relatively clear. The day I visited two families were there sledding. They told me that the lift shack and motor were still at the top of the hill so I went up to check it out. Below are pictures from my visit.
