In the fall while traveling through southern Vermont I stopped at the National Survey office in Chester, VT.  While looking around I came across an old map of Chester which had this ski area on it.  I purchased the map and went in search of the area.

Pinnacle, began in the late 1930's and operated until 1971.  After closing for a few years it reopened in 1973 and ran until 1989. After it's closing most of the tow was removed.  In the pictures above you can see the top lift shack and some of the controls.

In the picture labeled "from a brochure" you will notice that there is a ski jump at the top of the hill. Though the picture is a little blury it appears as if the tow is  to the right of the jump near the stand of trees.

When I visited the area in October of 2003 there was a skate park at the bottom of a clear slope.  It appears as if the slope may be used in the winter for sledding and snowboarding.  Though the tow is no longer there the rope tow line is still visible on the right of the slope.
